  Great garden for a pint outside on a lovely sunny day. Lovely views of the church next door and loved the Giraffe in the garden. However, what spoilt it for me was there were too many dogs and screaming children running around and the men's WCs need some urgent attention

  I visited the Black Bull on Sunday and it can only be described as a dire experience. The pies that I had been told were their "speciality" had hard pastry (been in the microwave too long by the looks of it). Their home made chips were white, hard and soggy and it looked like the peas had been thrown on the plate from a great height. Although there is a lovely garden, there were several big piles of dog poo on the grass (which I had the unfortunate experience of sliding in). To top that, the service wasn't particularly friendly and we were served dirty glasses (twice). I said to my husband, lets just pay the bill and go because I knew that if I complained that I would have lost my rag. WON'T BE COMING BACK.
